About Us
Golden Rule Builders was founded in 1998 by Alush Nushi. We specialize in building high quality custom homes, additions and remodels.
Alush Nushi started in the building trade at a young age helping his father remodel homes. His father would purchase homes that were scheduled to be demolished and, with the help of a good family friend, they would move it to a vacant lot, build a foundation under it, then remodel the inside and sell the home. They did it all, foundation, framing, plumbing, electrical, insulation, drywall, painting, tile, hardwood, masonry, all aspects of construction were covered. His father was a perfectionist. He used to say "you might as well do it right the first time" and he was right.
At 18 years old, Alush started working on the housing tracts being constructed around the East Bay Area. Here, things were a bit different. Speed and efficiency were king. Learning how to be more efficient without the loss of quality, Alush brought these skills with him when he transitioned into the custom home market. After a number of years and a number of contractors, Alush decided to start working for himself.
Moving to the Central Coast in 1999, Golden Rule Builders has either built or has been a major part of building over 25 custom homes. They take great pride in the work that they do and it shows. With over 30 years of personal, hands on experience in the building trades, Alush has the skills to deliver an exceptional product at a fair price.
